Trivia: Shelley Winters (Kate Denny) was nominated for four Academy Awards, winning twice for Best Supporting Actress (The Diary of Anne Frank - 1959 and A Patch of Blue - 1964). Marilyn Monroe was her roommate when they both started out in Hollywood. This film was written with the intention of having Cary Grant play the starring role.
