A petty thief lifts a purse on a Cape Town bus, unaware he's stolen top-secret microfilm. As rival spies close in, a young woman and an unsuspecting pickpocket are swept into a deadly Cold War conspiracy.
Trivia: James Brolin, seen here in one of his early film roles, would go on to star in hit TV shows like Marcus Welby, M.D. and Hotel. He's also the father of actor Josh Brolin and husband to music icon Barbra Streisand. Jacqueline Bisset makes her leading-lady debut in this Cold War thriller; she later rose to international fame with The Deep (1977), earning the title of "the most beautiful film actress of all time" from Newsweek. She's also the godmother of Angelina Jolie. Claire Trevor, who plays a key supporting role, was nominated for three Academy Awards and won Best Supporting Actress for Key Largo (1948).
