Trivia: Director Lewis Milestone was a two-time winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture. Robert Rossen's screenplay for this movie was nominated for the Best Screenplay Oscar, one of the five nominations which he received for the award. Kirk Douglas (Walter O'Neil) appears in his first film role.
